Jazz was apparently injured after her Women's Championship match with Trish Stratus last night on Raw. After the match when Trish walked to the back, Jazz stayed down in the ring. The ref flashed the cross-armed X sign to Lilian Garcia which means that there has been an actual injury and not just someone selling. After the ref flashed the signal, they dimmed the lights and showed a variety of promos but fans could still see several people come out and help Jazz to the
back.
You may have noticed that Kevin Nash came back last night under his own name, despite having Diesel's theme music. Originally Nash was supposed to reprise his role as Diesel but the idea has been scrapped for now since the story of this return to the gimmick was leaked on the internet several weeks ago. Vince McMahon has become extremely sensitive about what leakes out onto the internet. Nash may assume the Diesel gimmick sometime down the road but for now, it looks like he'll just be Kevin Nash.
If fans head over to the offical website for Madison Square Garden, they will find a listing for Wrestlemania 20 which is scheduled for March 14th, 2004 at the present time.
Here are the ratings for the WWE's weekend shows:WWE Velocity scored a 0.6 rating with a 1.0 share.
WWE Confidential scored a 0.5 rating with a 1.1 share.
WWE Sunday Night Heat scored a 1.0 rating with a 1.7 share. Obviously the fans didn't have any problems switching to TNN for Heat instead of MTV and the ratings are around the same number that Heat was getting on MTV so no major drop-off in the move.
There were reports that Jimmy Hart was working for the WWE now that Hogan was back on the scene. That isn't the case however, since Hart works personally for Hogan only and isn't part of the WWE staff.
The WWE hopes to capitalize on the current anti-French sentiment in the US with the new heel tag team of Sylvan Grenier and Rene Dupree. Both were brought into the WWE by Pat Patterson. Rene has been working down in OVW for a while and Grenier was last seen as the crooked ref that was working for Vince McMahon.

Last night edition of WWE Raw pulled in a 3.5 cable rating with a 5 share. This is down from last week's 3.7 but you have to remember that the NCAA basketball tournament was on last night so that could have lowered the ratings. However, the WWE might be concerned with the fact that despite having Goldberg on their show, the ratings are not showing signs of any major improvement.
Speaking of Goldberg, there are reports that Goldberg and "Y2J" Chris Jericho got into a real backstage fight after Raw last night. The two were involved in a heated conversation about their time spent in WCW, mainly how Goldberg had stated that he didn't want to work with Jericho. Eventually, the talk turned to punches as the two started brawling and rolling around on the floor. Trainers broke the fight up before either could be hurt. Any further developments will be reported when they surface.
WWE.com has posted an interview with Kurt Angle where he talks about deciding to go with Dr. Hae-Dong Jho surgical procedure which will keep him out for 2 months unlike the year he was looking at if he went for spinal fusion surgery. Here is a sample from the interview:Kurt Angle has elected to undergo a surgical procedure that will keep him out of action for four to eight weeks. The operation is scheduled for Friday in Angle's hometown of Pittsburgh.
Angle has known he would need surgery since WWE's tour of South Africa in early March. He was on the verge of having spinal fusion surgery -- the same procedure that Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Benoit, Rhyno, Lita, Bob "Hardcore" Holly, Scott 2 Hotty and Edge underwent -- which would have kept him out for a full year.
But a few weeks ago, he got in contact with Dr. Hae-Dong Jho of the Jho Institute for Minimally Invasive Neurosurgery. As his institute's name would suggest, Dr. Jho performs an operation that is less intensive than spinal fusion, with recovery time estimated at just a month or two.
Angle was initially skeptical, as the surgery sounded too good to be true, but he met with Dr. Jho on April 1, two days after WrestleMania, and decided to take a chance.
"The reason I like it is, I'm going to have full flexibility in my neck, which is what you need in this business," Angle said.
Angle said one of the key factors in his decision is the fact Stone Cold Steve Austin, just three years after having fusion surgery, is having problems again and has been told he needs more fusion. (Austin says he is holding off on surgery at this time.)
As reported a few weeks ago, the current plan is to bring Steve Austin back to television as a vicious and unpredictable general manager for Raw. Austin will somehow get put into that position of power and bring Jim Ross back to the announce table. Their returns are being described as a package deal so expect them both back at the same time. There are currently no plans for Austin to wrestle in the near future due to pain in his neck.
It is rumored that Bill Goldberg signed a one year contract with WWE, but not an exclusive contract. Goldberg is still under contract with Pride in Japan for three more matches. After his deal with Pride expires, it is expected that Goldberg will try to persue another Japanese contract as he really likes working there.Up & Coming magazine has posted two articles on two WWE Divas as a way to help promote the WWE's upcoming events in North Carolina. In the first article, Dawn Marie talks about her wrestling career in the indies, ECW, and the WWE as well as how each Diva brings something new and different to the table. The second article features Nidia, who talks about life on the road, Tough Enough and interestingly enough, she mentions that she's dating none other than Eric Angle, Kurt Angle's brother!
It looks like the tag team of America's Most Wanted will be breaking up soon in the NWA-TNA. The people backstage feel that Chris Harris could have great success in singles competition. No word on what will happen with his partner James Storm.
For those wondering, Shark Boy was the masked luchadore who attacked Jerry Lynn on last week's NWA-TNA PPV.
Eric Watts has been getting some advice and guidance from Vince Russo, Raven, and Glen Gilberti. They want to see him breakout as a big star in the NWA-TNA so they're going out of their way to help him out.

The booking of the WWE Championship match between Kurt Angle & Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 19 was supposed to be handled by Johnny Ace but it turned out that Angle layed out most of the match between himself and Lesnar. This however lead to some questioning backstage, as many felt that the match favored Angle in the losing effort instead of Brock winning the WWE Championship.
Rowdy Roddy Piper was reported to be quietly social backstage at Wrestlemania 19, introducing himself to various superstars and spending a lot of his time talking with Hulk Hogan, Hogan's son, and Jimmy Hart.
Don't look for the Rock to appear on Raw this coming Monday from Richmond. At last week's Raw, they taped an promo after the show where the Coach conducts an interview between The Rock & Goldberg. The Rock continues to shoot down any chance of a Rock/Goldberg match at Backlash but in the end, after being called scared and a variety of other things, he is shamed into accepting the match against Goldberg for the PPV.Fans in Canada will be able to see "Before They Were Superstars" featuring Edge, Christian, Kurt Angle, and more when it airs in the old Sunday Night Heat timeslot on Sportsnet this Sunday.
Jackie Gayda looks to be headed to the Smackdown roster as early as next week. The Tough Enough 2 co-champion has been down in OVW for a while after her few brief appearances on WWE TV, including a Divas tag match that was considered by many as the worst match of 2002 on Raw. At the present time, Gayda will most likely be used in a valet position but she will most likely work mixed tag matches if needed. There is a possibility that she could be the new manager of Kanyon since she has been his valet to the ring in several dark match appearances over the past month or so.Yes i know most of the news is outdated (i wrote it down then copied it and posted it)
