It is being reported that Goldberg has most likely signed his WWE contract about a week or so ago and was asked to keep the news of his signing quiet by the WWE. Goldberg has been spending a lot of time at the gym over the past week or two to get back into shape for his TV debut. As it stands right now, Goldberg will most likely not have a match at Wrestlemania but he could make an appearance at the event. The current plan for right now is for Goldberg to meet the Rock at WWE Backlash next month. The Rock is expected to leave the WWE after next month to start work on his latest movie but will remain in the WWE until Backlash so the WWE can get Rock vs. Goldberg on the card. It's being said that the Rock was the major catalyst in getting the deal done. The WWE had already worked out the money portion of the contract but the main hangup between Goldberg & the WWE fell to the amount of dates that Goldberg would have to work. It appears that Goldberg has agreed to 100 dates over the next year.STAMFORD, Conn., March 24, 2003 - World Wrestling Entertainment, Inc. Kevin Nash is headed to Ohio Valley Wrestling to get back into ring shape for his WWE return. There has been some talk, mainly from Nash, about working WrestleMania in a non-wrestling role. Basically, Nash wants to make some sort of an appearance to get in on the expected large WrestleMania payoffs. At this point, there is some talk that Kevin Nash will come in as the bodyguard of Eric Bischoff. That seems to be a bit far-fetched. Other ideas are for Nash to come in as a third in the Evolution group since both Orton and Batista will be out for an extended period of time. Another idea is for Nash to come in and form a tag-team with Shawn Michaels. Seems doubtful since Michaels plans on hanging up the boots again after WrestleMania.
On a quick side-note, the recent leg surgery Kevin Nash underwent for a torn quadriceps is the 22nd surgery of Kevin Nash's sports career.
It looks like the WWE has something in store for the end of tonight's Raw as both TSN & TNN have been told to expect a longer overun than normal for tonight's show
It appears, from all the hype it's gotten, that Hulk Hogan vs. Vince McMahon will be the main event for this Sunday's Wrestlemania 19 in Seattle.Despite reports to the contrary, Genichiro Tenryu will be at tomorrow's All Japan show. Tenryu was doubtful for the show since many thought he would be out of action longer due to a concussion he recieved.
Many may have already noticed but the championship belt carried around by HHH now is not the old NWA/WCW Championship. The belt looks similar but it's smaller, very shiny, and has the WWE logo on it.
In yet another "Where are they now?" segment, former WWE superstar Haku (who went by the name Meng in WCW) is now a car salesman at a Toyota dealership in Orlando, Florida. He is said to look in good shape and when asked, he said that he is doing great and doesn't miss the WWE at all. When using this news please credit Logan and WrestlingLife.com
