here is some news
Brian Kendrick was about to sign a contract with a wrestling promotion in Japan when a WWE official called him. "As much as I love Japan -- and I really do -- this is what I've wanted to do since I was 11 years old," said Kendrick, 23. "Work for WWE."The WWE might be feeling the sting of the recent fire at the Great White rock concert in Rhode Island. Since this occurance, many of the New England states have been trying to ban indoor use of pyro. Maine have already put such a law into place. This would mean that the WWE would not be able to use their normal pyro for their WWE TV shows like Raw, Heat, and any PPV's taking place in those states, not to mention any pyro use on their house show circuit.
The word going around backstage is that Vince McMahon has been encouraging an open-door policy with the WWE superstars where he will listen to any storyline suggestions or ideas for the direction of their characters that they have. However, it's the general feeling of the superstars that despite giving these suggestions, Vince rarely, if ever, uses them.
It looks like the latest WWE superstar with an autobiography in the works is "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. The WWE has begun work on Austin's book, looking for a late 2003 release. The WWE has set Jim Ross & Dennis Brant on the project. The WWE hopes that Ross will be able to get some of the more interesting and hopefully controversial stories out of Austin since they are close friends.
It appears that Kevin Kelly has departed the WWE to "pursue other opportunities". Kelly's departure was announced by Dr. Tom Prichard and Howard Finkel on today's Byte This, which Kelly usually hosts. Kelly has worked in many departments in the WWE since he joined such as talent relations, work on the WWE website, the production end of WWE Confidental, as well as an on-air announcer. There is talk going around that Kevin Nash could return at Wrestlemania 19 as the bodyguard or possible henchman of Raw General Manger Eric Bischoff.
As it stands right now, The Rock is scheduled to leave the WWE in May to start filming on the remake of "Walking Tall". This should allow the Rock to still appear at WWE Backlash before heading back to Hollywood.
Sources have sent along information that none other than Bill Goldberg is on the cover of the next issue of WWE magazine, with the headline being, "Who's Next: Sparks Fly As Goldberg Hits WWE". Now, while the WWE has in no way confirmed Goldberg signing with the company or this magazine cover, this could be yet another point in proving that Goldberg has indeed signed with the WWE. If he has signed, expect him to debut at either Wrestlemania 19 or the weeks following the event. It is not known at this time what brand Goldberg would belong to but since both Edge & Kurt Angle are out on the Smackdown side, I'd say it would be a perfect fit to send "Da Man" over to Stephanie McMahon & Smackdown.
