Reported by Logan on March 19:

Hiromichi "Kodo" Fuyuki, who was the owner of the WEW promotion in Japan and had been a professional wrestler for 23 years, passed away earlier today at the age of 42. He died of liver cancer. Fuyuki wrestled in North America early on in his career and is best known for his legendary matches teaming with Toshiaki Kawada against Dan Kroffat & Doug Furnas for All Japan Pro Wrestling.

As it stands right now, the first post-Wrestlemania opponent for Brock Lesnar on the house show circuit will be John Cena. With both Edge & Kurt Angle on the shelf due to neck injuries, the WWE will need to start pushing & creating new stars to place in those top spots. While the WWE does feel that Cena is not ready for a main event slot in terms of his in-ring performance, they do feel that his character is working quite well, getting over with the fans and could be enough to help boost him up into a main event slot.

The possible war in Iraq could have repercussions on WWE TV in the upcoming weeks. If war does break out, CBS may move their coverage of the NCAA basketball tournament to either MTV or TNN. There is also a possibility that they could air the tournament on some of their UPN affiliates. This could mean preemption of Smackdown in some markets, a preemption of the April 7th edition of Raw, and possible interuptions in the WWE Saturday night lineup of Velocity & Confidental. However, CBS has been working to get the tournment aired on ESPN and ESPN 2 if the war does happen. If they can secure that deal, WWE TV won't be affected.
