Intelligence. Integrity. Intensity. Why are we booing the man who has done so much for his country? Not only has he won the Olympic gold medal but he has also promoted abstinencne, in a country where teen moms are abundant. If you were an Iranian I could probably understand, but you are all Americans. Never in the history of America have we ever booed a Real American hero? We didn't do that to hulk Hogan or "Made in America" Lex Luger, whose wrestling ability can certainly be questioned. Maybe some of you lack one or more of the "I's," and are thus jealous of him! Or maybe as a great transcendentalist had once said, "to be misunderstood is to be great." But, in this case we are misunderstanding a man who is already known to be great! How can we do this to him?? He defeated a nearly text book villain from Iran to win his gold medalist. He comes to WWF and tried to give you fans confound with knowledge his mantra to succeed in life. And what do you give in return?!

Well, well, well! Who could have thought an Olympic gold medalist [and that too the first one in his class; 220 lb] would become a top heel in his own country. He didn't even get any short-cuts to the top. Rather, he learnt the business by feuding with a million jobbers for a long time, in dark matches. Finally he was given the long awaited break when he wrestled Meat at a PPV, and ended the dry feud by cutting the meat in two. From there on he never looked back and it was quite the man has a bright future.. perhaps the next Rock in the making.

At a time when ring veterans like Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Tazz, Rikishi Phatu, and Dean Malenko, were flooding the WWF roaster, Angle managed to make a mark, even though he lacked pro-wrestling experience. But he managed to combine his ring talent with WWF entertainment to make himself the man we [no, not me, I am an Angloholic!] love to hate.

He signed a five-year deal with the WWF in October 1998, and set off to train at the Funkin' Dojo in Stamford, CT, led by former world champion Dory Funk Jr. He was billed as "The Most Celebrated Real Athlete in WWF History." Certainly, Angle is the biggest name amateur wrestler to ever jump into the pro game. Other Olympians before him, like Mark Henry, Dan Hodge, and Brad Rheingans, never won a gold medal.

Many people have written to me as to whether Kurt Angle wanted to be a face but was perceivd as a heel. That is not true because he was introduced to the WWF as its only real athlete and thus heavily hinting his role in the company was to be that of a heel.

You too can stay in shape just like Kurt with a balanced diet of all four food groups: Natural, BBQ, Pepper and Teryaki Ostrim Ostrich Jerky. You too can have success like Kurt Angle has earned, if you apply Kurt's 3 I's to your life.  These three words have brought amateur success to Kurt, and will propel him to the top of the WWF.  His INTENSITY shows through his drive and charisma in the ring.  Kurt is all about INTEGRITY and abhors cheating and gimmicks in his matches.  INTELLIGENCE is obvious, Kurt graduated from a real college, with a Geography degree from Clarion University.  Olympic gold and a college degree are two things other WWF "actors" can only continue to strive for. [This paragraph wasnt written by me; I dont have the actual source so I dont know the author!]

Prediction for 2000 and beyond: He is already in the upper mid-cader division of the WWF [the IC division] and should become a main-eventer, eventually end up as a champion next year. But the road will not be easy for the "real athlete" as he will face hard competition from the likes of HHH, Rock, Benoit, Jericho, Austin, and many more WWF talents for the prizes spot. I am sure he will overcome these challenges using his "celebrated skills" and "the 3 I's."
